Boss GE-7 Graphic Equalizer — Seven Bands of Tone Control

The Boss GE-7 Graphic Equalizer is a compact stompbox built for surgical tone shaping on the pedalboard. Seven sliders cover guitar-optimized frequencies from 100 Hz to 6.4 kHz, each offering ±15 dB of boost or cut. A dedicated level slider doubles as a clean boost, making it a multi-purpose utility pedal for guitarists who want full control over their signal.

What Sets the GE-7 Apart

Peaking filters on the first six bands and a shelving filter on the 6.4 kHz band give precise cuts at problem frequencies and smooth treble shaping. Buffered bypass keeps the signal intact across long cable runs, while the rugged Boss compact chassis is built to survive years of stomping.

EQ Bands — Tailored for Guitar

The seven bands are spaced in musical octaves that line up with the harmonic range of an electric guitar, so each slider addresses a specific tonal problem.

• Frequency Bands: 100 Hz, 200 Hz, 400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz, 3.2 kHz, 6.4 kHz — covers low body, midrange bite, and top-end sparkle.
• Boost/Cut Range: ±15 dB per band
• Filter Type: Peaking (100 Hz–3.2 kHz), shelving (6.4 kHz)

Controls and Connectivity

Eight sliders on the face of the pedal give instant visual feedback, and standard 1/4-inch jacks drop into any guitar rig.

• Controls: 7-band EQ sliders, Level slider — full tone shaping plus overall volume.
• Inputs/Outputs: Mono 1/4-inch phone type
• Bypass: Buffered bypass — preserves tone across long cable runs.
