Hollywood Scoring Tools is built around Scores: complete, playable multi-instrument setups designed by professional composers from EastWest and Sonuscore. Every orchestral layer, synth texture, dynamic balance and effect was chosen for how it works musically, so you can start writing the moment a Score is loaded instead of spending hours on programming.

Find

More than 300 Scores and over 1,300 arrangements are organised into 14 genres, from Action, Adventure and Trailer to Romance, Historic and Horror, and 12 styles such as Tension, Underscore, Wall of Sound and Hybrid. Filters, search, favourites and short performance notes for every Score make it quick to find the right mood.

Shape

Each Score runs ten instrument slots drawn from a library of over 160 instruments in five worlds: Orchestra, Synths, Band, World, and Choirs and Percussion. Every slot works as a channel strip with volume, pan, octave, reverb send and dynamic range tied to the mod wheel, plus attack and release, a 3-band EQ and three insert effects from 21 effect types. A global convolution or algorithmic reverb ties the mix together, and any change can be saved as your own User Score.

Play

Every Score holds four arrangements, Intro, Main A, Main B and Outro, switched by keyswitches, with a dedicated key for an ending. Each slot has its own arpeggiator with editable note order, rate, velocities and sequences. Time signature, pattern length and half- or double-time playback are adjustable, and the performance can be dragged into your DAW as a multitrack MIDI file with one track per instrument.

System Requirements

Hollywood Scoring Tools runs in EastWest Opus 1.6.6 and above, natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The minimum is a quad-core CPU at 2.7 GHz, 16 GB of RAM and macOS 10.15 or later or Windows 10 or later with an ASIO driver; an eight-core CPU, 32 GB of RAM and an SSD are recommended. The library is NKS ready.
